The classic film performed with a live soundtrack.

On Oct. 25, at 7:30 pm the Sebastiani Theatre will present a special showing of the classic 1922 film, Nosferatu, with a newly composed, live soundtrack performed by members of the Renegade Orchestra.

Nosferatu holds an important place in the history of horror movies, having influenced countless films with its masterful use of suspense and storytelling. Based on Bram Stoker’s original novel, this is the film that started the vampire movie craze.

This masterpiece of the silent film era was meant to be accompanied by an orchestra that builds tension and mystery and helps immerse the audience in the drama of the film. For this showing, members of the Renegade Orchestra will perform a newly composed soundtrack that honors the sounds of the original score while creating something special. The musicians will play live in the theater, surrounding the audience with music.

This special showing for the Halloween season will happen one night only in the beautiful Sebastiani Theatre in Sonoma on the plaza. Concessions include wine, as well as amazing popcorn, and other treats. The orchestra will be available for a meet and greet after the show.
