New Orleans-raised, Bay Area-based jazz vocalist Kenny Washington has been called “the Superman of the Bay Area jazz scene” by the San Francisco Chronicle. He’s played at Lincoln Center, Monterey Jazz Festival and appeared as a featured vocalist on the Grammy Award-winning album by The Pacific Mambo Orchestra.

The diminutive vocalist, based for more than two decades in Oakland, California, has range, fluidity and a natural sense of swing. He grew up singing gospel music as a child in New Orleans- and that music's passion fuels his soulful artistry.

Kenny Washington is often hailed as a nonpareil master by musical peers such as pianist Geoffrey Keezer, vibraphonist Joe Locke, and trumpeter Wynton Marsalis.
